Arizona signed veteran running back Alfred Morris as David Johnson continues to work through an ankle injury, ESPN reported Tuesday. Morris, 30, last signed with the Cowboys in his second stint with the team amid Ezekiel Elliott’s holdout, but once Elliott signed his contract extension, Dallas released Morris in early September. The last time he was on the field for a game was during the 2018 season when he played with the 49ers after Jerick McKinnon went down with a torn ACL....

According to Tyrann Mathieu, that’s where the quarterback wants to go if he can’t work something out with the Seahawks. “Russ wants New York. The Texans and Falcons continued their surge with Week 9 victories. That success is reflected in their updated playoff odds, as those teams have seen the two biggest improvements of the week. On the other hand, the Redskins and Packers suffered the steepest drops after losses in Week 9. Their odds decreased by 21 and 17 percent, respectively. Eight teams now have less than a one percent chance of making the playoffs....

Even though LA had a chance to clinch its division this week — while on a bye, no less — the playoff picture shows the Rams still stuck in the No. 2 NFC seed behind the Saints, the only team to beat them so far this season.
