Beckham is the latest athlete to be featured in Lyft’s undercover series, which has previously included the likes of the Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski, the Seahawks’ Richard Sherman and former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz.
Wearing sunglasses and a hat, Beckham’s undercover persona, “J.R.,” chats it up with his unsuspecting passengers.

“You like sports?” he asks riders, getting varying degrees of interest.
“I like football,” one lady says.
“I don’t really understand football,” another says.
“I don’t really understand it either,” Beckham, er, J.R. replies back.
He goes on to ask customers their opinions on the Giants and that guy Odell Beckham Jr., dropping hints about his true identity along the way.
