Notre Dame Recruit De Commits To Michigan Says Brian Kelly Wasn T Cool

According to one prominent recruit, Kelly’s not the most personable coach off the field either.

Beaver Falls (Pa.) defensive end Donovan Jeter, who’s rated as a four-star prospect, decommitted from Notre Dame and announced he would attend Michigan.

Why the switch? A preference for Jim Harbaugh over Kelly.

Saying Harbaugh “might be the coolest dude I ever met in my life,” Jeter told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette this about the Irish coach:

“Talking to Brian Kelly wasn’t fun. It wasn’t cool. You have to make an appointment just to go to his office. Coach Harbaugh has an open-door policy. Every one of Michigan’s coaches has an open-door policy.”
