Rider led by two points at halftime, and maintained its lead with under 10 minutes to play in the game. But Maryland freshman Diamond Stone scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting to save the Terrapins.

Robert Carter led Maryland (3-0) in scoring with 13 points. Star guard Melo Trimble, Jake Layman and Rasheed Sulaimon added 11 points apiece.
This is the second time this week the Terrapins pulled out a game late when it appeared they were going to lose, starting with Tuesday’s 75-71 win over Georgetown.
Kahlil Thomas led Rider (0-3) with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and Shawn Valentine added 12 points off the bench.
