The Alabama coach sent a letter to Deshler High School after the football team’s head coach Jake Linville suddenly passed away due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to the letter sent to the school’s athletic director Patrick Smith, Saban offered prayers and encouragement for the football team and staff moving forward.

This was Linville’s first year as head coach and the team is currently 7-1.
