Krug’s helmet flew off after Muzzin’s hit, and Krug then awkwardly hit the boards. He had some trouble getting to his feet after the impact, and was helped off the ice and headed for the locker room.
Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy did not have an update on Krug after the game.
“I don’t think we should assume he’s concussed. We don’t know that yet,” Cassidy told reporters.
Krug was the Bruins’ fifth-leading scorer this season, with 53 points (six goals, 47 assists) in 64 games. He had an assist on a goal by Brad Marchand in the first period of Saturday’s game.
Boston won the game, 4-1, to even the series at 1-1.
