The 2021 NHL Draft kicked off Friday with the first 31 of 223 selections announced. (Note: There were technically 224 slots but the Coyotes had to forfeit their first-round pick, although they did get one in a trade with the Canucks.)
There were a number of questions heading into the weekend, including who would go No. 1 overall (it was Owen Power), where Luke Hughes would land (it was with his brother Jack in Jersey) and which top-ranked goalie would go first (it was Sebastian Cossa).
