PICKTOWN: How a small Ohio suburb became a football factory

And now, time for some analysis.

Drake is the big winner here, as he has been in most of the recent drafts. He makes five different players’ songs, and we’ll get hear “God’s Plan” twice. It’s hard to fault Derrius Guice or Roquan Smith for going with “God’s Plan” because 1) it’s a banger and 2) the message of the song is perfect for this moment.

In fact, a lot of these songs have a “I’ve made it” feel to them, such as Denzel Ward’s “Congratulations,” or Jaire Alexander going with “How Bout Now,” Rashaan Evans’ “Finally Rich,” and Josh Rosen’s “On Top.”

I’m surprised Lamar Jackson didn’t go with a Kodak Black song. Jackson shouted him out after a win during his time at Louisville as both of them are from Pompano Beach, Florida. But you can never go wrong with Future.
