“I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been in my life,” Beckham told GQ on Monday at the 2019 Met Gala. The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was traded this offseason from the Giants to the Browns after a complicated history in New York. Beckham admitted his final days with the Giants were not working for him, and he told GQ he started to get a feeling around December that New York was no longer a great fit for him....

With a rescheduled and rejigged regular season having already seen several games postponed due to the virus, the league have elected against going ahead with the all-star game. Las Vegas had been due to host the event on January 31, though the Allegiant Stadium will be the venue for the 2022 game. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the 2020 NFL Draft, which was due to be held in Las Vegas earlier this year, being held virtually, while no preseason games were played to reduce the risk of the illness spreading through the league....

Still, even if a player does not have the coronavirus, being put on that list could be an issue. With no preseason, any amount of time away from the team can be detrimental, especially for rookies or players in a new system. And, of course, if a player is placed on that list during the season, it will mean opportunities for backups. Ideally for fantasy owners, they won’t have to worry about that, and having a team with as few risks as possible would help your roster management tremendously, but everything – and everyone – will be day-to-day this season....

The NFL on Wedensday fined Thomas $8,268 for the hit that sprained Campbell’s MCL and Cardinals coach Bruce Arians called the dirtiest play he’s seen in 37 years. The deal is expected to be for one year, ESPN reports. The move is pending a physical. Baltimore will be the second stop in Ray’s NFL career. The specific reasons for the cancellation weren’t immediately known, but the cancellation was announced on a league website. First, the Chiefs face the Raiders on Thursday night in Oakland in one of the league’s marquee rivalries. A Super Bowl rematch between the reigning-champion Patriots and the Falcons is the primetime matchup on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium. Another rivalry in Redskins-Eagles is set for “Monday Night Football.” Divisional matchups include Jets-Dolphins, Bengals-Steelers and Cardinals-Rams. With a win, the Dolphins could begin to challenge the Patriots at the top of the AFC East....

Among those games are the Patriots facing the Eagles, and the Ravens hosting the Texans, though the odds of those matchups replicating the fireworks of the brawl between Cleveland and Pittsburgh are low. The 49ers will look to recover from their first loss of the season at home against the Cardinals, who nearly beat San Francisco two weeks ago. In the AFC South, the Colts take on the Jaguars as both teams try to keep pace with Houston....

Fresh off a trip to London, both the Jets and Falcons will be sitting this week, as well as the 49ers and Saints. But the Sunday slate of game will feature many promising matchups that figure to provide all football fans with some entertainment. The Packers-Bears rivalry will have its latest edition on Sunday at Soldier Field. There will also be a pair of AFC North contenders facing off against stiff challenges from the west as the Ravens host the high-powered Chargers and the Browns host the undefeated Cardinals....
