However, during the 2021 NFL offseason, there is no combine. The league decided not to host one this year due to concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The event will likely be back next year, but with the event canceled, the 40-yard dash hasn’t been on center stage as much as it has been in the past. Still, prospects are performing the drill at their pro days and while the spotlight may not be as bright at those events, there certainly will be a certain element of pride for the fastest players in the 2021 NFL Draft....

Last year, Jacksonville selected quarterback Trevor Lawrence to become the new face of the franchise. On April 28, it is expected they will take either Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson or Georgia defensive end Travon Walker to become the anchor of their defense. Jacksonville will have plenty of chances to be build up its roster as it comes into the draft with 12 picks, tied with the Chiefs for the most among the 32 teams....

Of course, there are always a few dozen prospects from outside of the Power 5 that make some noise. The NFL casts a wide net in its scouting processes, so programs from the FCS, Div. II and Div. III are able to put their names on the map as well. The 2022 NFL Draft will feature some prominent players from the best FCS and small-school programs.
