Reaves has yet to reach the 10-goal mark in his eight year career. Artemi Panarin’s first season with the Blue Jackets could be his final one. The 26-year-old winger’s reluctance to engage in contract extension talks “at this time” has prompted media speculation over his future in Columbus. Panarin was acquired last June from the Blackhawks. Toronto is telling teams they are willing to listen to trade offers for center Nazem Kadri and winger Kasperi Kapanen, according to TSN. The team would want to get a defenseman back for Kapanen and a center for Kadri. Kadri has three years remaining on the six-year, $27 million deal he signed with Toronto in 2016. The team is trying to save some money, and considering Kadri has been suspended during the playoffs in each of the last two years, the Maple Leafs may not feel bad about parting with that baggage either....

Nichols, who played the role of Lieutenant Uhura in the original Star Trek series, died on Saturday, July 30, in New Mexico, United States, at age 89. Her fellow cast members, along with others, paid tribute and gave heartfelt messages on social media.
