Nurse Fired For Giving Inmates Covid Vaccine Overdose Asks For Reinstatement Back Pay
Amanda Dodson, a registered nurse at the maximum security Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, was fired following an investigation uncovered 77 inmates who received shots with up to six times the recommended dose of the Pfizer vaccine. But Dodson and Council 61 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), which represents prison staff, are appealing her firing.
