The U.S. Naval Institute (USNI), a private, non-profit organization that aims to provide a forum for debate about national security, says satellite images show a dolphin training facility at a naval base in Nampo, on the west coast of the country. The report, appearing on the USNI news website, says that images of the facility date back as far as 2015, when what looked like animal pens appeared near a shipyard near naval units....

The missiles hit their targets after flying for 7,590 seconds and about 930 miles above the land and water of the reclusive country during the tests conducted on September 11 and 12, KCNA reported. Officials had been developing the missiles for two years before the test. “The efficiency and practicality of the weapon system operation was confirmed to be excellent,” KCNA said, adding that the new missiles offer “strategic significance of possessing another effective deterrence means for more reliably guaranteeing the security of our state and strongly containing the military maneuvers of the hostile forces....

North Korea announced their leaflets have been “piled as high as a mountain” and aim to “slam the criminal acts of the South Korean authorities” and denounce North Korean defectors, according to an article in state media outlet Rodong Sinmun. Meanwhile, the defector group Free North Korea Movement Federation completed the preparation of their own fliers back in March. The group plans to fly them across the border as scheduled, the leader of the group, Park Sang-hak, told South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency on Saturday....
